Event Details

On January 27–29, Australia’s Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race will compare to Europe’s Spring Classics.
The best cycling teams and riders will compete in top men’s and women’s one-day races on a magnificent track in Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula, and the Surf Coast in the ultimate cycling weekend.
Gianni Meersman (Etixx-Quickstep) and Rachel Neylan (Building Champions) won the inaugural Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race in two exciting races.

The courses, designed by former pros Scott Sunderland and Cadel Evans, returned unchanged in 2017. For the season and teams’ preparation, it is a difficult and authentic one-day circuit that allows aggressive racing, akin to the European “Spring Classics,” and offers several racing opportunities. In addition to its beautiful scenery, the Elite Men’s course’s three Geelong loops closely mimic the 2010 UCI Road World Championship itinerary. The top men’s and women’s Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Races visited the Bellarine Peninsula’s most spectacular and iconic areas, including Cadel’s favorite riding routes.
